Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
"This news has just filled my heart with rainbows!"- Ghirahim
One thing can't be denied. Ghirahim is a very flamboyant villain, which acts as a complete opposite to the usual villain, Ganondorf. Throughout the beginning of the game, little is known about him except that he is trying to revive his
master. The lengths to which he goes to, to succeed in this task are absolutely astounding.
He shows some mercy towards Link in the beginning, but slowly, things start to unravel.

"I'll make the affair so excruciating, you'll deafen yourself with the shrill sound of your own screams!"- Ghirahim

Ghirahim doesn't do well with complications to plans he so carefully laid out. It's a character flaw of his, as he mentions in the game.
Throughout the game, as Link triumphs over him time and time again, his calm attitude fades. He becomes openly frustrated and much more vicious towards Link.
Still, through all the times he's defeated and despite all the setbacks, he doesn't stray from his goal. He keeps trying to revive his master. Ghirahim is powerful in his own right, and that's what he chooses to do with his power.
Personally, I think it would've worked well if Ghirahim chose to stay in control himself, but it works this way, too. So, here's where you come in:
What do you think about Ghirahim? Do you consider him a true villain, or is he just a pawn? We'd love to hear your view; let us know in the comments!
Next Saturday we'll post the sixth edition of of Saturday Savior!
Is there a hero, a protagonist, or just a general good guy you'd like to discuss?
